There's no distinct sync icon for folders containing both online-only and offline files on Win11.
Device
(PC and Laptop)
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
(Windows 11)
Dropbox App Version
233.4.4938
After icon change I can't find a way to see if folder contains files that are both online-only and available offline.
Even if folder contains folder or files that are offline (downloaded) it still shows up as online. In order to figure out what is synced or not you have to go folder by folder. I have ten of thousands of folders. This new icon system is broken.

Love how Nancy's comment doesn't acknowledge that it wasn't like this until very recently. We used to have a proper icon.
All this new Windows update garbage is terrible and I hope Dropbox finds a way around it soon. It's been a huge burden on my day-to-day work and I'm going to have to start searching out alternatives soon, if Windows didn't ruin them all. - KarolisPoliksa3 months agoHelpful | Level 5
And if its fully online its also a cloud. What's the point of the could icon then?

Thanks for posting here, KarolisPoliksa!
If a folder has a combination of online-only and available offline files/folders, then it’s expected to see the cloud icon next to the parent folder indeed (as mentioned here).
I've made sure to forward your feedback though to our team, so that they can take this into consideration, given how it can affect your workflow when working with many folders.
If you need something else, feel free to ping me.
