Trying to move a very big, very important file to online-only.
UPDATE: I may have solved this myself. Will be back if necessary. Thanks!
I was trying to move a very big, very important file to my online-only DB. The size of it fits into my plan, so no problem there.
I had to repeatedly move it from a desktop folder on my Mac into the DB window on my laptop. (Open DB from the menu bar, finder window pops up, drag the very important folder (VIF) into DB finder window). The first five times, after a long wait each time, both finder windows were back just the way they were - nothing had moved. Finally VIF showed up in the DB finder.
I went to the DB website on my browser and unchecked every folder I had in there, so they'd all be online-only, not stored on my Mac.
The situation now: if I open VIF on the web browser, there's the tiniest scattering of files in there - no exaggeration, less than 0.000001 of what was in that folder. Meanwhile, back on my computer DB app, VIF is still showing in the finder window, and there are all the contents, folders and files, looking back at me.
I want the ENTIRE VIF online, and NONE of it on my computer. At this point I'm terrified to move anything at all. I'm also terrified that DB will sync and I'll lose everything, save that tiny fraction of a percent I was able to find via the website.
Please help. What's next?
