Upload crashes in Chrome. What can I do?
New iMAC 24". Updated system, updated dropbox desktop (& beta API, v. 181.4.5678). Fast fiber internet lan connection. Unable to upload a file or afolder for backup in dropx (have ample space).

3 years agoThe green syncing icon on the Dropbox folders means that they are up-to-date with all the info from the site. If you move more files into the Dropbox folder directly, they should automatically sync to the site, instead of having to upload to the site directly.
The computer backups don't use the name of the computer any longer, instead using 'Mac' or 'PC' depending on the device.
Only files stored in the Dropbox folder would sync to the site, so any files outside wont appear on the site.

Thank you very much for the helpful clarifications.
Since adding a small kn file directly to Locations/Dropbox didn't work I have re-installed all Dropbox software after deleting existing ones, restarted, and now I'm in the process of "updating 189,723 files" (as shown in dropbox icon in the menu).
Will take some time, and I'm taking the liberty to report to you again the results.
