Dropbox wrongly says my Basic account is over the quota limit.
My Basic Account DID exceed the 2GB limit.
I promptly reduced contents to 477 MB. There are NO BACKUPS taking up space.
I am STILL getting reminders that my Account is full.
I have screenshots ...

2 years agoCan you post screenshots?
What about www.dropbox.com/backups ?
Also are you in any Shares? They stop syncing as soon as its over quota SO if somebody added a load of data to one of them it wouldnt sync to your account if it took you over the say 2gb but WOULD use up quota and stop syncing.

Thanks again, Mark.
My account has not become involved in any 'Shares' or Team work of any kind.
I do my sharing etc. on a different platform.

Hey EHrl-789. To look into this further, we’ll need a screenshot of what you see here, as a first step.
You can click on the following button to post it here:

Hey KOIN, let's jump right into this!
The first thing I'd like for us to check is your sharing tab to see the content you have there and your plan page as well.
Have you also checked your Backup tab to see if you have the feature enabled?
Let me know more!

And you were right about the back up tab.
It showed a 1.3 GB amount of files (which I have never enabled... but anyway)
I have deleted those now.
Hopefully we can move on from here safely.

Thank you, Megan & Koin,
Herewith screenshot of may Sharing tab ('Fraid I had forgotten all about it!)
However, the two files in it add up to only about 706MB

Awesome news KOIN!
Yeah, it seems that your Backup was taking up a lot of your account's quota.
If you need anything else, don't hesitate to let me know!
