How do I disable the computer backup feature?

I installed dropbox basic to share some files -but i accidentally set up the backup feature - now it says my storage is full.  I don't want any backups on dropbox.  How do I free up space?  It won't allow me to move the files off of dropbox storage unless I upgrade

    I hope this helps!
