My Dropbox account rolled back and my earned storage space disappeared.

I got about total 12+ GB dropbox space through referrals, which has served me well for years. Yesterday, all of sudden my storage space was vanished and I could see only 2 GB space. Also noticed that my DB account was rolled back about 5 years.

How can it be restored back?

    Hi P-DB-USER, let's see what we can find out about this!

    Is it possible that you haven't accessed your account in a long time?

    If I were you, I'd also check to make sure I don't have two Dropbox accounts.

    Were you, by any chance, part of a business team?

    Thank you for your reply.

    I was using that account continuously ..... has desktop app installed and it was syncing regularly ....

    Also have received an email from DB about the space earned through referral .....

    I am not a part of any business team ...... it was an individual account ......

    Hey P-DB-USER, can you clarify what the email mentioned? 

    Also, what do you see when visiting this page online?

    Other than that, do you notice any missing files, and if so what does your event page report?

    I was received the following email in 2020 on associated email-id :

    On the link given by you .... I see only 2 GB space and full ....

    On the event page I dont see the old events before year 2024 ..... also many files went missing ....

    Hey P-DB-USER, thanks for the screenshot! 

    Is the email address that you received this email communication, the same as the one linked to your Dropbox account when you visit your account settings here

    I'm asking, because Dropbox won't remove any of your referrals, so I'm thinking this might be a separate account, or one that was previously deleted.

    Dropbox only lists events for a max of 6 months so that is to be expected. 

    If you have files missing its almost certainly that you accidentally have 2 accounts - and the files are on another one. As Megan said Dropbox doesnt remove bonus space.
