My storage space has been reduced from 16GB down to 7GB. Why?

My storage space was reduced. I got in dropbox today and had a notice stating I was using 156% of my space. I dug in and it appears my storage space went from 15 or 16 GB down to 7GB. I did not recei...

It depends on how the space was earned. Space earned through referrals is generally permanent, but there are other methods that are time limited.

You can see a list of all the space you've earned and that which has expired on your Referrals page. Provide a screenshot if you can, being sure to mask any private information, if any is visible. Also, take a screenshot of your usage as shown on your Plan page. It should look like this:
