After upgrading to Ventura, cannot start dropbox app
Hi, my dropbox app was working beforehand. I recently uggraded to Mac OS Ventura but now it's not working or syncing. I'm getting the error message "couldn't start dropbox" or sync. So I did the advanced reinstall (ran the terminal etc) and I'm still getting the same error message.

Hello friend.
Unfortunately, after several tests I did, the only alternative I found was to delete the aforementioned folders and reinstall, thus correcting the permissions.
Here is a link where my suggestion was accepted as a solution.
If it helped you, leave a Like. 🙂

This worked for me. Logged in as root. Deleted /.dropbox and /Dropbox. Had to then uninstall Dropbox and reinstall, but it finally started up after months of it not being able to start. Thank you so much!!

After Dropbox working fine on Ventura since the initial upgrade, it suddenly stopped loading today.

Hey foundry75, let's jump right into this!
Do you get any specific errors when you start-up the app? If so, feel free to share them with us here. You can send the full .txt file back to me.
If it's a different kind of error, a screenshot would be most helpful.
Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

I also have a similar problem with my Dropbox and Mac Ventura. Any way to fix it soon? Thanks!

Hey NickeyMdy, are you getting any error messages, like the OP, when you open the Dropbox app?
If so, can you please send us a screenshot?

I remove my Dropbox and re-install it. It works now.
I don't know why?
Many Thanks!

Here's what worked for me.
Go to Settings->Security->Devices in the web app, and delete ANY devices you are no longer using. There appears to be a limit. Mine was triggered when I changed my login id on MacOS Ventura (13.4.1.c), which sent me over the limit.
Seems like something they should have caught in testing.
