Hello Everybody,
For any users running Windows 7 without Service Pack 1, Beta Release 171.3.6071 should get your Desktop app working again. Please let us know if you experience any issues after installing the beta release and I can pass that information on.
Best,
Ben

3 years agoHey ATC International, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
You mentioned that you tried installing the newest stable version of the app, which didn't work.
Can you also try the offline installer, to see if that helps?
Make sure to also check Ben's reply here.
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Hi Hannah! Thanks for your swift reply. I have tried the Offline Installer, but it displayed the same error message (Your computer is not connected to the Internet, please check etc.).
Thanks to your recommendation, I have checked Ben's reply on the thread about Dropbox on Window 7, which doesn't seem to have a concrete solution there. Is SP1 he mentioned on his comment is necessary to fix this bug? As I'm clueless about SP1, if so, do you have any clue as to how to install it?

Thanks for the update, ATC International!
SP1 or Service Pack 1, is a set of updates basically that you need to have installed on your computer.
You should be able to find more info about it and how to install it here.

Hi Hannah, I would like to inform that upon installing the SP1 pack, I have successfully installed the Dropbox using the normal installer file. After restarting, Dropbox seems to be working well and is synching files normally, so I hope that there will be no longer any problem.
Thanks a lot for your support and swift replies. I appreciate it a lot.
