Hi don2d23 thanks for the detailed response on this.

Initially, keep in mind that double-clicking on the Dropbox icon would indeed open the Dropbox folder. Clicking on it once should have the notifications/pop-up menu appear. Are you not seeing this when you click once on the Dropbox icon?

Also, out of curiosity, have you given the advanced reinstall a shot as well? Maybe that will do the trick.

Let me know of any update on the matter!

Hi there rbirmann, have you by any chance checked out the troubleshooting steps that we went through with don2d23, as well as what they mention in their previous reply?

    Spoiler
For example, a few initial steps to have a look at are the following:
    • Is your desktop app running? You can ensure this by checking to see if the Dropbox icon is located next to your computer’s clock.
    • If you are on Windows, please bear in mind that Windows has a limit of 15 overlay icons that Windows Explorer can load (the OS reserves 4 for its own use). If there are more than 15, then Dropbox's icons or context menus may not show. You can find more info about this here.
    • If you are on a Mac, please check if a third-party app is causing this issue by quitting the desktop app and relaunching your Finder.
If you have had a look through all the mentioned steps in this thread and you’re still having some trouble with this, please don’t hesitate to get back to me with any additional info.

    Thanks in advance!
