Desktop folder icons look different when compared to online folders

Hello! See the blue folder icon above. This differs throughout our organization and online. I would think this means a shared folder but in the online version this folder shows that it's a team folder. This is a screenshot from one of our members, but I have this same folder on my desktop and it doesn't show what you see above.

  • I was able to solve the problem. I had to open the registry editor on my computer.

Hi hshupe16, thanks for messaging the Community!

How does the folder appear on the Dropbox site?

could you attach a screenshot showing this for us?

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi Jay,

Thank you for getting back to me. See below:

So, the weird thing is this folder is on all of our DB organization's desktops but my boss is the only one who has this BCS bidding folder blue icon in the app. Below is what mine looks like in the app:

    Thank you,

I don't see any sync icons on any folders on both his and your images. Is the Dropbox desktop application currently running and syncing as normal?

I believe so. I don't have everything from our organization on the desktop app but my box icon does not show there are syncing issues

Thanks for the info, are there any other cloud provider running on the same machine, such as Google Drive or OneDrive?

Hey hshupe16, sorry to jump in here!

Would you mind temporarily disabling OneDrive, then closing the Dropbox app and reopening it, to see if that makes a difference?
