Dropbox app is stuck syncing 10 files on my macOS.
Since more than a week dropbox is trying to sync 10 files (only 17kb total). It never syncs those files.
However, it syncs any new files or other files.
How to fix this?

Ooh it's getting worse. 3 devices, all online, have 3 versions of the same folder. Two of them say "your files are up to date" while the 3rd one is eternally syncing.
Am now urgently migrating my team away from Dropbox to avoid any more catastrophes.
But hey, at least it offers to save my screenshots for me 😅
[edit] discovered a fun new feature where 9/10 times, folders can't be deleted (they immediately get restored) - whether from mac, windows, or browser

I had one file with some non compatible file name characters in it's file name. It used to show in sync issues. When I delete it, it get restored automatically. I deleted it multiple times and finally thought the issue got fixed but it is not syncing those 10 files.
May be this issue is related to this bug.

Hey nexgen, thanks for the info!
Can you see which files and folders are trying to sync from the Dropbox folder? Are they all in the same location, or in random locations?
Can you tell me approximately how many files are syncing locally on your computer? To check this, you can right click on your Dropbox folder and then click properties. That should bring up the overall number of files.
Additionally, are there any other apps currently running in the background that might interfere with Dropbox? Such as an antivirus for example.
Can you also try closing any other apps temporarily and see if anything changes alongside restarting your router?

I can see two folders trying to sync.In one folder: I can see one file is trying to sync. It's just a text file and I deleted it and recreated it with same name but it is still not syncing.
In another folder: It is showing as being synced. But when I check the files/folders in it, all files/folders are synced.

I don't think so.Can you also try closing any other apps temporarily and see if anything changes alongside restarting your router?
Tried it but didn't help.

Hey D P!
If you wish to have a closer look into this, I'll be more than happy to troubleshoot and get to the bottom of this.
I'm just going to need some additional info, and I'd also like to know the troubleshooting steps you've tried on your end.
Thanks!

I'd rather let the devs do the beta testing; I've already spent too much time helping troubleshoot (while paying for that privilege) so I've just given up now
Dropbox worked flawlessly from 2011-2023, but now hardly a month goes without a new issue cropping up so it's time to move on
