Dropbox "forgets" that my Debian 12 system has been added to my account

I have Debian 12 on my desktop, Debian 11 on my laptop.  Both have the latest Dropbox installed (free version), checked with dropbox status.  Everything runs as expected on the laptop, including Drobbox autostarting after a reboot.

The desktop system frequently asks me to reconnect with Dropbox, resulting in more than the 3 devices allowed for a free account.  The laptop shows once, the desktop has multiple entries, which I have to delete to keep me inside the device limit.

Any ideas as to what may be happening?

Thanks.

Bob

Hi there ramjr2020 - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you confirm that your desktop meets the minimum requirements for the desktop app to run normally?

Have you tried completely uninstalling the app from the device and re-installing it anew since you first noticed this?

Any additional information or even screenshots are more than welcome, Bob.
