Did you move your Dropbox folder, using these steps?
Also, about the error, could you try to follow these steps, in order to perform an advanced re-install?

I did follow the steps outlined to change the location.
Bizarrely, today, the Dropbox program is now working and synching OK. The icon has returned.
However, another error is happening. I opened a document that I wanted to edit and save with a new file name in the same folder. But it failed and I got an error message saying it couldn't access the folder. I was then forced to save in main documents again.
