🙂 You can't edit anything because you set it (possibly the entire drive) as "read only". I don't know how you have this done, but it's so:
...real_path='D:\\elekt\\Dropbox'
mode=0o40555 uid=0 gid=0
parent mode=0o40555 uid=0 gid=0
...
The digit 5 above means you can read it only. To be possible writing/changing, these digits should be either 6 or 7.
Try change "read only" flag from folders/drive properties in Windows Explorer.

I changed the read only flag in drive D.
However, this hasn't changed the status of existing documents. I cannot edit them but have to save on C drive.
I can create new documents and edit them however.
V bizarre.

Hi Megan
I followed the instructions but couldn't see the Edit button on the Advanced tab. I am going to uninstall Dropbox and reinstall on the C Drive. Can't see any other solution.
Thanks

Hi Jay
I am having random problems opening some files, even PDFs. Get an error message saying it can't be accessed.
So should I copy all the Dropbox files in the 😧 Dropbox folder to C: drive?

It's a different error message.

Just on the PC.
I will copy all the files and then do the advanced reinstall.
Fingers crossed!
