Dropbox no longer available in menu bar - ’21 M1 Macbook Pro Sonoma14.5

I’ve used the desktop app with no issues since the day I purchased my Macbook back in 2021.  All of a sudden this week, the app icon has disappeared from my menu bar.  Any time attempt to open the app only open the dropbox folder in finder.  I’ve seen previous posts about this issue, and the suggestion to reinstall the app, so I’ve tried that but it has not resolved the issue.  I’ve gone as far as completely removing the app - deleting it and taking the additional steps in terminal and shutting down after the removal. I then downloaded and installed version 199.4.6287 from dropbox.com. The issue persists.

I do run the desktop app on multiple devices, but I have for years. I have a plus account which says that I shouldnt have a limit on the number of devices anyway.

Hi wallcrawl - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please clarify if you're having an issue with installing the desktop app or if the app isn't responding after you installed it on your computer?

Have you tried the offline installer from this page directly by the way?

Any additional information or screenshots are more  than welcome!
