I can't open my desktop app settings, so that I can move my Dropbox folder to an external drive.
This has been happening since my last computer...
What I would like to do is sync my dropbox to save to my external drive; however, I cannot access the dropbox app to go to sync settings and trying...

2 years agoWelcome to our forum, alstott4027! Let’s take a look into this.
Uninstalling or reinstalling your Dropbox app shouldn't affect the files you've saved in your local Dropbox folder, unless of course you delete the folder itself.
Before trying that though, can you send me a screenshot of what you see exactly on your end when trying to open your app settings?
Other than that, I’d like to know the app version and syncing status of the Dropbox app (you should be able to see this when hovering over the small Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar).
Let me know what you find.
