"Manage Hard Drive Space" tool is forever loading on Windows.

Device
(Desktop PC)
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
(Windows 11)
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
(230.4.8797)

Question or Issue
My dropbox drive is nearly full. The Manage Hard Drive Space tool/dialog stays "Loading files on your hard drive..." indefinitely. I've left it open for days at a time and the list never populates.

My dropbox drive is a 4tb NVMe

Hi joel-mic, thanks for posting here today!

With the amount of files you currently have available offline on your hard drive, this behavior wouldn't surprise me.

Keep in mind that the performance of the Dropbox application starts to decline after reaching about 300K files, and with 3.6TB that might be even more difficult. You can read more about this here.

But I'm here to see what we can do to remedy it.

If you open your Dropbox folder, and right click on any of your files/folders, do you see the option to make your content online-only? One more thing: if you check the app's current syncing status, what does it report?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there.
