3 years agoThanks, from the help page you're referring to, you'd need to specify the location of the Dropbox folder.
Did you add the exact location of the folder as mentioned in my previous reply?

No I didn’t add the location I only used the commands provided thinking that they should move the folders and do as explained so what should I do now?

Hey nassib, can you try again and this time, make sure to replace ~Dropbox with the specific location of the Dropbox folder?
If you want some additional info and examples on how to edit the commands, you can see this, perhaps it will help.

Thank you Guys it worked I run the instruction the last command gave me an error message that file is not empty and checked the folder location and found it so I moved it to trash inputed my password as admin and then reinstalled the newest version all is working and its syncing all the files now.
Great thanks I wish that the installer as such an option where it asks you if you wish to reinstall the app so it then asks you to locate the folders required to be moved or deleted and does all the required tasks for you, and installed the fresh new app at the end.
I hope that the technical team at Dropbox could consider such an option not every one is good at codes and following instructions.
Thank you again for your great help.
