New message notifications will not go away
I have several “unread” messages from Dropbox which when opened or marked as read the “2” displayed above the icon will not go away. The marked as read button does nothing and there appears to be no way to delete the messages ? Using app on new iPad Pro.
- I ended up removing App from iPhone and reloaded it. Bit of a faff but worked

The same issue continues to exist regardless of your suggestions. Please advise ?
- Phcalc2 years agoHelpful | Level 6There is no update available in App Store.
- Phcalc2 years agoHelpful | Level 6I’ve rebooted device, app, cleared cache. I have latest version. Problem still there. It’s changed to 4 unread now as another alert appeared.
Anything else to try. ? - Hannah2 years ago

Hey Phcalc, the most current version of the Dropbox app for iOS is currently the 318.2.4 one.
Can you please update it from your App Store, to see if that helps?

Hey PaulTexan, sorry to hear that.
Could you try rebooting your device and/or clearing the app's cache and let us know if this persists?

- PaulTexan2 years agoNew member | Level 2Exact same issue. There are 4 messages showing as unread. But the notification says it’s 3. Cannot mark as unread.
- Phcalc2 years agoHelpful | Level 6The version of Dropbox is 218.2.2 on an iPhone 12.
I cannot seem to be able to upload a screenshot of the alerts that remain “unread” after I read them. Sorry - Walter2 years ago

Hey Phcalc, sorry to jump in here, but could you clarify your device's exact OS and version?
A screenshot of the alerts you mentioned would also help!
- Phcalc2 years agoHelpful | Level 6Sorry I just don’t see anything like what you describe.
