"No internet connection" error on my PC Dropbox - won't finish installing

Since the middle of August I've been having problems with my dropbox on my 3 devices not syncing. Now I've lost dropbox from my pc laptop. I've uninstalled, rebooted computer, reinstalled. It won't finish installing.  Keeps saying I have no internet connection of my computer is offline. Neither is true.

I've only used half of my 2gb. I have dropbox basic, as that is all I need. I only use dropbox for knitcompanion. I need a working dropbox for knitcompanion. Help. I can't fix this.

Hey sewkat, these are the steps I found online:

    1. Click the Start button.
    2. Click All Programs > Accessories.
    3. Select Command Prompt.
    4. In the command prompt window, type ipconfig /flushdns.
    5. Press Enter.
    6. You should see a message confirming that the DNS Resolver Cache was successfully flushed

    I'm running Windows 10.

I can click the start button, but I don't have any of the other commands.

    No All Program>Accessories.

    Thanks, sewkat for trying.

Can you try a couple more things, to see if they make any difference?

    1. If possible, please try connecting to a different network
    2. Please create a new user profile on your computer, to see if the issue persists there as well

    Thanks.
