Permission required for update, but when I click "yes" nothing happens.

For the past couple of months, I randomly get a message requesting permission to update the desktop app.  Clicking on this brings up the second screen but then clicking Yes does nothing.  I get this every week or so, several times a day.

I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app but did not help.

Hi treborrobert, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

In general, the Dropbox desktop application does require admin privileges to be installed on a machine, and this would also include any new updates for the app itself for it to function properly.

Is it possible that you're using the app without admin rights in this case? Also, what is the version of the app that you currently have installed?

You can find this by locating your Dropbox icon, on your task bar, next to your WiFi and hovering your mouse over it.

Keep me updated with any progress!

Yes, I do have Admin rights.  I have no issues with any other apps or functions.

      Version is 169.4.5684
