Permissions for ~/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox

I am asked daily to authenticate using my password to allow Dropbox access to  ~/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox. Running MacOS 13.1

Get Info for  ~/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox shows "everyone" has custom access, and I have Read&Write.

[Mac-Studio:~] toby% ls -ld ~/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox

drwx------@ 24 toby  wheel  768 Jan 21 11:26 /Users/toby/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox

I'm hoping there is an easy way to grant Dropbox permission to access that folder so I don't have to authenticate daily.

Hey tzellers, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Can you please let us know the Dropbox desktop app's exact status and version as shown in your menu bar at the moment?

Also, did you give Dropbox full permissions on your computer as outlined here

    Keep me posted!

Full Disk Access and Accessibility have both been enabled for DropBox.

    Preferences shows v166.5.2920

    Using 1.1% of 2.0TB

    Personal, Pus account

    Files are up-to-date

I'm not sure what else you mean by "exact status"

Hi tzellers, thanks for the info!

Could you send me a screenshot of the pop-up or message you get, asking you to authenticate the folder? It'll help me get a clear visual.

Hey tzellers! Hope it’s OK if I jump in, too.

Just to make sure we’ve tried everything, can you let me know if you’ve restarted both your desktop app in the meantime, as well as your computer?

Yes. Quit Dropbox, then restarted computer. Annoying request to authenticate was not immediate...returned about 30 minutes later.

Hey tzellers, sorry to jump in here, but could you try the latest version of our desktop app from this page and let us know how it goes?

If the issue persists, we can reach out via email to investigate further, if that would be OK with you.
