Slow app startup on macOS after updating Dropbox to File Provider

As title, Dropbox is very very slow starting up in macOS; the software loads but the icon is gray for at least 2-3 minute before being operative.

This causes the entire macOS Finder to freeze util Dropbox fully loads.

Hi Architetto D., thanks for messaging the Community!

Could you try reinstalling the app, without uninstalling it first, by using this link?

Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi Jay , thank you for your reply.

Did it and it's the same: it takes a long while for Dropbox to launch everything (connecting to Finder?)

macOS 14.4, but this issue started long before, for sure as soon as Dropbox released the new File Provider update

How many files do you have on your Dropbox account approximately?

Architetto D., can you also clarify the app version of your Dropbox app? You should be seeing this when hovering over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.

    Thanks!
