Slow sync issue after updating the desktop app to v210.4.4854.
Ive got an issue with the upgrade. Anyone else have the same problem? Slow in sync, VERY slow in making the connection and very useless box that DOES NOT tell me which files it does'nt not recognize.
There isn't a solution. The sync is slow and incomplete files are not shown on any screen, even if you have the ORIGINAL file (and you can see it) on an external drive. I will have to either seek a new computer OR find another provider.
I now have 212.4.5767

Hi Tod-D - thanks for the additional information.
Could you try signing out of your account through the app's preferences and then back in and let us know if this persists?
Thanks!

Hello,
I have about 75k files
Connection is running about 250Mbps per Ookla
Curiously, I have two machines running Ubuntu 22.04 and they seem to be running fine.
Three machines running Ubuntu 24.04 + SUSE Tumbleweed and they are all having the problem.
It's possible there was something else in the update that caused this...?

Hey Road_warrior!
Did you check your activity tray that Walter suggested in your app?
Also hello Tod-D!
Is it possible that you have more than 300k files in your Dropbox folder?
That might slow down syncing and will generally cause the performance of the Dropbox app to deteriorate.
And you can also increase the bandwidth that the Dropbox app uses, by following the steps here, to speed up syncing. Have you tried that?
Let me know how it goes.

meh. It's a dropbox link and shows viewable. Try pasting...
May not be valuable other than confirm the version and updating message that never ends

Hello, sorry probably not the right place to start a ticket.... I also posted this as a reply to another user with a similar issue.
I'm having a similar problem as others with this latest upgrade on Linux. I have the problem with both Ubuntu 24.04 and SUSE Tumbleweed distributions
It seems to be on a (endless?) loop of indexing, uploading and downloading. I received an error that it lacked permission to Dropbox.txt. I input my super user password with seemed to satisfy the popup. Then it proceeded to it's endless loop.

Hey Road_warrior - thanks for the screenshot and the additional information.
Could you try clicking on the app's icon and then on the "View sync issues" button to see if there's anything listed there?

This is the Tray Assistant. There is not button that tell me how to get a list of the corrupted files. There is there nothing on my web page. So how to get a list of the files?
