Won't stop indexing on Mac
I installed the mac dropbox update and the application began indexing my files. It has now been stuck for the last few days. I can only access some files. Many are now only available through dropbox....

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your patience while we investigated. We have confirmed that the problem with resyncing has been resolved with macOS Sonoma 14.1. Users should not experience a resync when upgrading to 14.1.
Upgrading to 14.1 will prevent resyncing, but it will not resolve this issue for users who have already become 'stuck' on the resync upon upgrading to 14.0. We can help, but we're asking that users contact support for individual assistance.
Regards,
Ben

Hi Walter!
I tried doing these steps as you suggested and I am STILL having the same issues. Below are images of what the screens looks like on my end.... Basically it is just frozen and nothing is happening. The version that was installed is v185.4.6054.

Is it possible that you might have some kind of VPN, antivirus or any kind of security app that could be blocking Dropbox?
If you do, try temporarily disabling them, to see if that helps.

Thanks for checking, Aaron!
How about any proxies? Is the app set to "no proxy" in your preferences?
If it is, can you try simply reinstalling it (without uninstalling) through this link and let me know if the issue persists?

Thanks so much for helping me. I will give this a try and will let you know how things are in a few days. Thanks!
