Dropbox not authorizing access properly for third party app.
Application Affected
Dropbox web app on phone
Device
Pixel 7
Operating System/Browser (if using the web)
Windows 10 when on PC
Question or Issue
Hello. I'm having a unique issue with Dropbox. I am trying to connect an app called War Organ to my phone. The app uses Dropbox to sync between phone and PC. When I connect war organ to Dropbox on my PC, it works first time, never any issues. However, it refuses to authenticate on my phone. I go into war organ, I click authenticate app, it takes me to my web browser, I have to click allow twice and then it will get stuck infinently laoding and eventually time out and the page will say I have no internet access despite having it. When I go into connected apps after this, it will show that war organ has been connected in drop box with full permissions, however on the app side, it won't have synced with dropbox.
I have tried multiple different web browsers (opera, chrome) I have cleared war organs app cache, my browser cache, google plays cache. I have reinstalled the app multiple times. I have disconnected the connected app multiple times. I am really stuck as to what to do. I don't use any other apps to testt if it's a Dropbox or app issue, but I'm assuming it's a Dropbox issue because my PC is fine

This sounds like Dropbox is acting as it's supposed to, and authenticating the request, but War Organ is failing to handle the response correctly.
I say this because you can see that Dropbox has authenticated War Organ in your list of apps. Dropbox has done its part. War Organ is apparently not handling the response properly.
You'll probably need to contact the War Organ developer for assistance with this. There's very little that Dropbox can do when dealing with third-party applications. It's up to the developer of the third-party app to handle issues with the authentication and connection process as they're the ones that programmed it into their app.

Alright. I will get into contact with the app developer to see if they can give me some assistance. I assumed it was on dropboxes end as my PC would connect perfectly fine and only my phone wouldn't connect. Thank you all for you help

HI ZachF, as it's trying to access the localhost, 127.0.0.1, this means it can't access the site that is hosted on your phone, since that IP address is only for the current device.
Have you tried contacting the developer of the app for further assistance on this matter?

I have done this as well. I changed my default to chrome, was unsuccessful authorising. I tried unlinking and having chrome be my default, still no success

Can you maybe change your device's default web browser and try again ZachF?

Yes. I've tried every possibility with disconnecting and authenticating, including disconnecting from my PC and trying to let my phone connect first. I've uninstalled the app, tried clearing caches and other browsers

Have you tried disconnecting it (preferably after reinstalling the War Organ app) and trying to connect it again ZachF?

I have changed to my PC so I can send images. Yes, I see War Organ in connected apps, however, the app isn't actually connecting to Dropbox as it won't move past authenticating. I know it says war organ needs to be reinstalled, that's a separate issue I can fix and isn't changing the authenticating issue. Below is a screenshot of this.
This is what I see in War Organ. I click the enable button and I get taken to Dropbox's web app.
Im greeted by this in my browser. I click allow and it will be stuck like this for a couple of minutes until the following image pops up.

Hey ZachF, thanks for the added info!
If you could also send me a few screenshots, I'd definitely appreciate it. I would like to see how it appears to be on your end.
One more thing: when you access your connected apps online do you see "War Organ" there?
