iOS Files App Favorites Folder Disappear
On both my iPad and my iPhone, when I mark a folder from Dropbox or any other cloud service as a “Favorite”, it shows up in my favorite list in the Files app, but if I switch apps or close the files app, when I reopen it, the folder disappears from the favorites list.

I'm having this issue as well. I'm a paying client and it's been over a year since this post started. What is happening?

Hey everyone, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.
I just wanted to note that the team is aware of this issue and of your comments.
Thank you all once again, and let us know if you have any other questions.
- nathanalf6 years agoHelpful | Level 5I think everyone has the same question. If it is a known issue, what is the general ETA for a fix? It’s been this way for YEARS

Just a word about customer relations: If your customers politely ask for an estimate of how long it will take to fix a well-known flaw, don't just pretend that you didn't hear them.
Even if you just say "we don't know how long it will take because...." that's better than ignoring the question.
So how about an estimate of how long it will take to fix this well-known flaw?
Thanks.

Thanks for nudging me back, everyone!
Although there isn't a specific time frame that we can provide, the team is aware and looking into it.
As soon as we have an update on this, we'll get back to you.

But DropBox doesn't have a way to favorite folders you frequently use or tag them. So, not a great solution. Starring a folder/file puts it in your home section but that's not available when you want to save things to DB. So, just using DB not an elegant solution for me.

Thanks to everyone who brought this up. It is really annoying and it is slowing down my workflow. I cannot believe that such an issue is a problem for years. At least for me it is an issue to look for alternatives to dropbox.

push, top
same as b1ender, it is an issue to look for alternatives to dropbox, too.
please work on.

This issue is infuriating. It doesn't make any sense that this has gone unfixed for years. It makes using Dropbox on iOS virtually unuseable.

Same issue here. Been this way for years on at least 6 different devices. As others have reported, I have zero issues on any other platform such as iCloud or Google Drive. It is solely a Dropbox problem and all the gaslighting by the "tech support" in this thread is maddening.
