"Please connect Dropbox to the same Google account" error, but I am
I am attempting to link my google account to my dropbox account and every time I try I get an error message "Please connect Dropbox to the same Google account". They are both using the same email address so I'm not sure why this is happening.

Hey Lee Firth, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Can you try again, using a different browser or a private browsing window and let me know if the issue persists?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Lee Firth, could you send us a screenshot of the error you get on your end, and walk us through the steps that you follow?

I have created a Loom video which details what is happening and the steps to take to duplicate the error.

Sorry what upgrade? I don't run a firewall, at least not that I'm aware of.

Hi Lee Firth, due to privacy and security reasons, we can't really access the link.
If possible, would you be able to attach a few screenshots our way?

Same issue here. I use Google to sign in to the account; yet, when I try to connect to my Google account to access Google Docs, etc, I get a message saying to "Please connect Dropbox to the same Google account"... yes it's literally the same account. I'm commenting to be tagged when a fix has been found. This has been an issue for over a year.

Can you go to your Dropbox account by clicking your Avatar (person icon or name initials ) on the top right corner of your account screen and then click on Settings. Under settings, choose Apps , do you see your Google account linked or connected with Dropbox? Is it showing the same Google address? They must have the same address. If you are getting that error message that you must connect it to the same google is either you already have connected it to google before (and that’s by checking your connected apps) or you are really using different email addresses. Hope this helps .
