A team member (not admin) accidentally invited someone to a team and was billed
Hi,
We have a dropbox account with 3 licences. A team member who is not the admin invited a 4th person to the team not knowing this would use another licence.
There was no message or notification from Dropbox this would add a licence and we were billed immediately even though the person hadn't yet accepted the invitation. We managed to cancel the member but don't know how to get a refund of the annual charge for an additional licence. Any help is appreciated!!
Thanks

Hi RGordon, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
As this is related to sensitive billing info, I’d recommend having the team admin to get in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail.
Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi
I contacted support with all the details (last digits of credit card, account holder etc etc) and have received no response from them.
I'm quite surprised that a) someone who is not an admin was able to do this, b) there was no pop-up or notification of any kind that it would incur a charge, and c) that although the admin received an email that the invite was sent they were not able to reject the request (and it was already charged by that time). The charge was made within 5 minutes of the person inviting the additional team member with no verification at all.
Thanks for any help on this.

Can you give us the ticket number for the communication with support, RGordon, so we can look into it?

I didn't receive a ticket number and have tried to enter the request again but get an error message saying "there was a problem sumbitting the request". Could someone contact us directly please to sort this out? Many thanks

Hey RGordon, hope it’s OK to jump in here.
As Jay stated previously, it’d be better to have the team admin contact our support team directly from their Dropbox account (as this is related to the team’s billing, they’ll need to get in touch with them). They can see all the available support options for their plan here.
If you’re the team admin though, and you still have trouble with this, let me know.
