Allow Dropbox Family plans to add additional storage.
This is an easy money-maker for Dropbox. Right now, for some unknown reason, there's a storage cap for Dropbox Family Plans. Why? Makes no sense.
Families grow... and as kids grow up, they have more and more videos to save/share. As such, allow the user to top up and add additional TBs of storage for $x/month.
Dropbox created the Family Plan for a reason -- to keep families together and to differentiate it from a Business Plan. I get that.
But why put a lid on the Family Plan? Let's families grow. And in the process, make more money this way.
As a side note, Microsoft and Google make it super-easy to add additional storage (and charge for it). So Dropbox should make it super-easy for Family Plans to add additional TB of storage.

Hi kytango
Dropbox is currently de-emphasizing their Family plan because they found out that “some business users were using it as a loophole to obtain licenses at lower cost” (quoting Dropbox Q4 2023 earnings call transcript). One can also independently confirm this by noticing there is no mention of the Family plan on the Dropbox pricing page.
It is then safe to assume we won’t be seeing any improvements (like the ability to add more storage, for instance) to the Family plan anytime soon.
Hope this helps,
Andrew (DBoxTips)P.S. I am an independent contributor to the Dropbox forum, not affiliated with Dropbox in any way. I just have lots of experience with Dropbox and I freely share it here.

Thanks. Then as an early Family Plan member, am I hosed? Clearly, Dropbox can alleviate this issue by limiting the Family Plan to only 6 members.
