How to remove the Dropbox subscription pop-up I keep seeing on the website?
Does anyone know how to remove this subscription plan pop up from your dropbox account?
It appears on every page change which is tedious. I used to be subscribed but cancelled the plan and now this pop up just won't quit! Any advice helpful, I've tried looking around and contacting via support email but was dismissed straight away.
'Welcome back, ............! We noticed that your subscription has ended. Resubscribe now to not miss out on advanced productivity features and 2000 GB or more of space.'
Hi TiffEVD,
Great news, our engineers have identified the issue with this pop up message and just wrapped up fixing it.
You shouldn't have any more issues like this but by all means, please met me know if you do.

Thanks for posting this on our forum, TiffEVD!
I'm guessing that you've already clicked on the X button located in the top right corner of the pop-up window and you still see it after that. Is this correct?
Can you try selecting the “Click to view all plans” option instead (in the bottom right corner of the prompt you’re seeing)? After being redirected to our Plans page, I'd like you to go back to your Dropbox homepage as a test.
Are you still seeing this window after that, or can you navigate your Dropbox account like you used to?
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for getting back Nancy
Yes I've done both methods and also on the "click to view all plans" I've tried exiting from that page as well as selecting the basic plan to try to confirm it but still keep getting the pop up. - Nancy4 months ago

I see, thanks for giving it a go! What happens if you try a different browser instead, or even an incognito window on your current browser?
Does that make any difference?

Hi TiffEVD,
I understand how this can be an inconvenience on your end . To avoid or stop this upgrade notification to keep on popping up, you can always bring down whatever your used storage space to below 2GB by deleting files on your account. The upgrade pop up appears from time to time especially when you attempt to click on any actionable buttons anywhere in your account , because although you are able to still have access to your files online and can even download them, if you navigate on your free plan account that Dropbox will notice as attempting to perform some actions, it will always encourage you to resubscribe . By the way the subscribe option, means we still have your payment method in our system and if it is still current or updated, even if you already cancelled your subscription , it can a week or two before your payment method will be completely removed in our system. By that time, you will no longer see that "resubscribe" button .
Hope this helps.

Hi Roga41 , thanks for this info.
My current storage is very low (only using 361MB) and I don't have an admin option to update the billing as it's a Dropbox Basic account. There's no option to remove the payment system on the billing page and I removed the subscription plan months ago - Neal4 months ago

Thanks TiffEVD,
Apologies for that, I've edited my original response so that future readers won't get confused!
I've reported this behavior internally so one of our teams can investigate. I'll reach out again as soon as I have an update or any follow up questions!

Thank you TiffEVD ,
Since you only have 361MB of files stored, how would you like to consider saving those files on a secure storage place first , and then just delete your account altogether so you can start with a fresh 2GB of space using the same email address. That way, you will no longer be bothered by the resubscription button that pops up persistently.
You can refer on this link to find out more on how to delete your Dropbox account : https://help.dropbox.com/es-la/account-access/delete-account
Once deleted, you can re-register to Dropbox Basic using the same email. You can click this link to re-register : http://www.dropbox.com/register
Hope this helps.
Thank you

Many thanks Neal, it really does seem silly that you need to delete an account in order to stop it so I hope Dropbox sort it out!

Thanks Roga41 for your help, though it seems a bit long that this is the only way - I hope Dropbox sort it out!
