43 TopicsHow to stop the upgrade notifications on my Dropbox online?
I've had the Dropbox Plus plan for over 10 years and have been more or less happy with the service. My account is about ⅓ full at any given time. Most of the time I use the desktop app (Mac OS 15.6.1, dropbox v.237.4.5655) which syncs my files across 3 devices and between several apps. I don't sync all files to the desktop obviously, so sometimes I have to log in to the web version to see all files. Dropbox bombards me with requests to upgrade to business level and work with "my team". not just once or twice, but EVERY TIME I log in. That and the giant green button at the top a different color from everything else on the page constantly begging me to upgrade... aaaarrrrrghhhhh. Is the desktop site intended to drive away non-corporate customers? I've done lots of projects with other people and the whole point of using Dropbox was the ease of passing files between all our different freelance accounts. It's out-of-proportion annoying. I have scoured all the notification and account settings and found nothing. Please how can I stop it? thanks!37Views0likes1CommentAdd ability to opt out of upsell ads as a paying customer
Issue details: Just a bit of feedback: It's very frustrating seeing ads that that I have to click through *every single time* I want to use Dropbox's web interface, when I'm already a paying customer. There seems to be no way to opt out of these. Again, I'm a *paying* customer already. It makes me dread logging in. It's annoying enough that I will suggest to my team that we move to something else when we get the chance, and I will make a point to use something else for other projects.Solved36Views0likes1CommentI find the "I don't like to save" insulting, when asked to switch to the yearly plan.
Its amazing that companies can be so messed up and have such contempt for their paying users that think insulting them with "shaming messages" is an effective strategy. It's bad enough endlessly popping up these BS messages trying to get paying customers to pay annually, insulting them by making them click "I don't like to save" to get rid of the message is the cherry on the cake.256Views0likes8CommentsHow to remove the Dropbox subscription pop-up I keep seeing on the website?
Does anyone know how to remove this subscription plan pop up from your dropbox account? It appears on every page change which is tedious. I used to be subscribed but cancelled the plan and now this pop up just won't quit! Any advice helpful, I've tried looking around and contacting via support email but was dismissed straight away. 'Welcome back, ............! We noticed that your subscription has ended. Resubscribe now to not miss out on advanced productivity features and 2000 GB or more of space.'Solved537Views0likes12CommentsWhy is there an upgrade icon on the site when I'm already on Plus?
Does anyone else have an issue with the offensive upgrade badge on the homepage? The Plus plan gives me everything I need, and I do not need to upgrade. There should be an option to dismiss this or decline the upgrade offer!65Views0likes2CommentsProblems with applying for an open position
I saw the discussion at discussions/101001018/im-having-trouble-applying-for-a-position---can-i-contact-hr/695520 but this issue seems to be different & that discussion has been closed for replies. If I fill out the application form online, attach my resume and cover letter (.docx) and include my last 3 related jobs... I get this error..... So I played with it a little and found that the application would go through if I only included my last related job experience under Employment. I did not try it with 2 last employers as I did not want multiple applications sent to HR for the position (I didn't want to look like an idiot before I ever got interviewed). I also found a missing link after submitting the application. After the application is accepted you are shown the following screen... The "Read our stories" link is broken. If you click it, you just go to a 404 page at Medium. Also there is no tag at the bottom of this form that seems to match anything to do with the application process, the Dropbox website or HR.... I chose "WEB" and "ERROR MESSAGES" because they were the closest descriptions for these issues, but adding a tag for website issues or application process might be helpful. Then, when I tried to submit this discussion, I got another error.... In case it matters, I am using Chrome... ...with Dropbox excluded from the Ublock Origin Lite extension, on Windows 10 Pro. So now I am off to try and find an email for someone in the company (or perhaps reach out on LinkedIn) to try and get these issues to them. I found your corporate phone number but the message there says that the mailbox is not monitored and just sends me to dropbox.com/support where there is no place to post this or get any help related to your website. At this point I feel like I'm just chasing my tail. I will delete the link that this discussion added when I referred to an earlier discussion that discussed issues with the application process .... Thanks!207Views0likes6CommentsAdd a "close" button for receipts and have the website automatically time out after some time.
When I view a Payment Receipt by doing this: Click the "Account" button at the upper-right of the home page Select "Manage account" from the pop-up menu Select "Billing" from the Tabs on the left of the page Click the "..." icon in the "More" column in the Billing History List on the page Select "Receipt" from the pop-up menu The receipt opens up in a new browsers page/tab. There is no navigation on this page. The only element on the page that I can interact with is the "Print receipt" button. (Thankfully, this button does not appear on the printed receipt!) I would like to suggest a "Close" button on this page. You must use one of the browser's controls to close it. Also, it appears to me that this page never times out??? I think this is a security issue.103Views1like2CommentsFeedback on upgrade prompts within Dropbox
Hi Dropbox stop making me clicking to close ads when I am accessing my Dropbox. I don't want to upgrade and your behaviour makes me want to quit your service. You are annoying and a marketing like this doesn't work. Stop right now. Regards51Views2likes1CommentI'm unable to use my free Dropbox account, because of "30 day free trial has ended" pop-up.
Please help me get rid of this annoying pop-up that has no exit button. I have a free basic plan of 2GB and I have only used 38.8MB of storage. Now, I cannot navigate my account because this pop-up saying my "30 day free trial has ended" keeps blocking the whole screen. Pl I only want the basic free plan but it does not allow me to continue with my basic free account. Please help. I've tried clearing my browsing data, using 3 different browsers, and using an incognito window.1.4KViews0likes10Comments
