Account closed by Dropbox; is everything deleted?
Is it since I received the email informing me that the account had been closed everything in the account was deleted?
Just wanna check any file had been uploaded to the account.
Also wondering why some account could be remained activated but some were closed, given all haven't been accessed quite a long period of time

Once an account has been deleted, neither the account nor the files within it can be recovered. There's also no way to see what files might have been in the account.

Hi delux
No, unfortunately not. Once an account is closed for inactivity its not possible to recover its contents.

My payed-for account seems to have been closed by Dropbox. I received a message in January saying my credit card was no longer valid. My computer had been stolen, so I didn't read it. Now in July my account does not existg any longer. How can I communicate this to the company?

Hi ljwaisman, I hope you're doing well!
Keep in mind, that even if your account got downgraded, that doesn't mean it would have been deleted. Do you remember when was the last time you accessed your Dropbox account online?
Also, do you get any errors when trying to sign back into the account?
Keep me posted!

My account has been apparently closed by Dropbox (when I try to sign in it creates a new empty account). Since my computer was stolen, I didn't read a mail from Dropbox, in January, asking me to update my credit-card. I never got a message announcing anything about account closing. I need access to my prevoious files but don't know how to contact the company. Any help?

According to Google my activity I accessed dropbox, including several mof my folders, on february 5th. I don't get any error messages. When I tried to sign in a couple of hours ago it seems to have created a new account without any of my previous content.

Hey ljwaisman, sorry for jumping in!
Do you happen to have more than one email address and Dropbox accounts? If that is the case, can you ensure that you're signing into the correct one?
Also, can you please clarify what you mean with your Google activity?
Waiting for your reply!

I have two mail accounts, but had only one dropbox account. In any case, I tried both addresses with dropbox and in both it gave me a new free account. My google activity is in link removed
It tells you the sites you visited, among other things.

Hey ljwaisman, have you searched your email accounts for emails from Dropbox regarding your account getting closed?
