Can't access my account without the email
I cannot access an old Dropbox account as I have forgotten the password to the account and can’t access the email account associated with it. I am unable to request help from the ESP as suggested by the help page as the provider no longer exists.
All help appreciated.

How long has it been since you last signed in? If the account has been idle for more than a year, then it would have been deleted due to inactivity.
If you've forgotten your password and can no longer access your email, then it won't be possible to sign in to the account (assuming it still exists). You need access to the email address registered with Dropbox in order to access the Dropbox account. Your best option would be to contact your mail provider and see if they can restore access to your old email address so you can receive the password reset information.

Hi Devizes Drinker, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If the account has been deleted due to inactivity, then it wouldn't be possible to recover the account or the files within it, unfortunately.
How long has it been since you logged into the account?
This will help me to assist further!

If that's the case, then it definitely wouldn't be possible to access the account or the files in it.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

I’m in deep guano. Upgraded to IP 14. Lost all my passwords. No problem right? I can’t even get into my DROPBOX. I’m a long time customer. I was in the habit of letting the apps fill in the passwords etc. I need to contact someone who can help. I have my life on this and can’t even check my email. DB used to have a help email but can’t find one. DB PLEASE text me because I can’t get my email. [personal info removed per the Dropbox Community Guidelines]

Hey modlaw, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community.
Sorry to see you're having trouble.
Since we can't really verify the ownership of the account without access to the email address, have you tried regaining access to that first?
You can also take a look at this article for more info.
