Free team disbanded by Dropbox
Hi Team,
Can someone please help with an email I received as below? Not sure what it all means
The ???? Limited team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all ??? Limited groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan.
Reason I ask is that we had a colleague that left our company under bad terms.
Many thanks in advance.

Your team folder should now be a shared folder following the end of support for free teams.
If you're not seeing it on your account, try checking the sharing tab and add the folder back to your account. - Doug144 years agoExplorer | Level 3
My problem is that the folder is there but there are no files in it.

If you're not seeing the missing files on the deleted files page, then there's a few possibilities as to why this might be the case:
- They were on a shared folder you don't have access to any more
- The files were deleted outside of the 30 day period
- The files were permanently deleted

Nothing shows up when I follow your instructions. Perhaps they were deleted from someone else. I cannot remember the last time I accessed it.

If the files aren't visible on the deleted files page, then it means that it wouldn't be possible to recover them. This would be the same for the support team when attempting to recover files.
I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter. - darrenkhoward4 years agoNew member | Level 2
Same thing happened to me. My files are all still stored locally and in my two dropbox accounts. I just can't login to both accounts at once anymore. Also the local files unlinked from dropbox and I had to link them again. Currently waiting for a response from customer support to fix this. I know this somehow has do with support for free teams ending. I just would like access to both accounts back. Is this possible for an additional charge now?

Hello,
I literally just received this message & I am terrified that I won't be able to retrieve the data that was stored in dropbox & on my C drive which was also dropbox. See the message below:
PLEASE HELP
Hi Kira, The GEDF, Inc. team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all GEDF, Inc. groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan.

I also just received an email notification that our team has been disbanded. The linked article says we should have received a notification to take appropriate action 30 days ago, but that was never received. I don't know why DropBox would take such an extreme action like this without properly giving notice, and now I'm also concerned that our data is gone. Please advise.

I received the same email this morning (total surprise!). So it they pushed my group files into my personal folders area, where are they?
How are they labeled or stored? How do i find them? I see no indication of them in any folder.

Hi Jay F, have you checked your shared folders to see if they're there?
