I deleted an old Dropbox account but I'm still getting emails about it

Question or Issue
I had two dropbox accounts, one for regular use which is used multiple times daily, one as a kind of addition for a special project. The latter was under a different email address on the Gmail platform.
The latter became unnecessary and I deleted it, through Dropbox.com: following the instructions. It seemed to be successful. However it suddenly resurrected itself and started to send me messages that the account was nearly full. I deleted it again. Now after about 4 months and a new laptop it is back again, saying it is nearly full and that I should upgrade! How can I get rid of it forever please.

Hi there, IanMcK, thanks for joining our Community.
That does sound strange. Can you confirm the emails are coming to the address previously associated with that Dropbox account?
Could it be possible that you created a new Dropbox account with that email address at a later time?
And if you now try to sign in to that account, say, on a different browser or on a private browsing window, is the site allowing you to?
Let me know what you find!
