Hello, i have an old account and I think my last activity on that account was 2019. I can no longer sign in because I forgot my password, also there is no way for me to reset my password since the email address that was connected to my old dropbox was already deleted on google. I just want a clear answer, since i was inactive on my old dropbox account for almost 2 years, did you manage to delete my account and all my files? Please i need answers. Hello, this is urgent. I accidentally deleted my Dropbox Basic account linked to this email address. After that, I mistakenly created a new account with the same email. I need to recover my original account and files if it is still within the 30-day recovery period. Please prioritize this request and let me know what steps I need to take with the new account I created. Thank you for your urgent assistance.108Views0likes3CommentsI wanted to cancel my Business trial and ended up deleting my Dropbox account instead.
No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. Especially since my personal account was being upsold as "Give this a trial for 30 days"360Views0likes13CommentsI had linked my Apple ID to a now deleted Dropbox account and I can't use it to create a new one.
Dear Dropbox Support Team, I previously used Dropbox and had linked my account to my Apple ID. However, I deleted that account years ago. Since then, I’ve been unable to create a new account on iOS using “Sign in with Apple” or link my Apple ID to an account with the same email address. Every attempt results in an error message with ERROR 500, even when I try different email addresses or use Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature. It seems my Apple ID is now completely unable to use Dropbox, which is causing significant disruptions to my workflow. I would appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue. Thank you for your support! Best regards, HuaDeity523Views0likes11CommentsUnable to delete my account - says user ID and password don't match
I've been trying to delete my account. I've never used this account since I first opened it a month or two ago. Today, I followed the instructions, entered my password (it doesn't provide a place to enter my ID) but a message says that my User ID & password do not match. So I go into my account and change my user id AND my password. I'm thinking it's gonna work now, finally! But I try it again and it still tells me my USER ID/Password doesn't match. Why does it tell me that when it doesn't even give me an option to enter a User ID? I was using the same password I used when it set it up only a few months ago. Since I'm already logged in, I go into my account and change BOTH my User ID and my Password. That should fix it, right? NOPE. It still tells me the User ID and Password do not match. I've been trying to get this account deleted for days. When I communicated with Dropbox by email to ask them to delete it, they told me I have to delete it myself. WTH?? I've tried everything now. Why can't I get this stupid account off of my Desktop PC?1KViews0likes10CommentsI logged into Dropbox with Google and now my old account has disappeared.

I would be grateful if any member can help me out. Thanks in advance1.4KViews0likes17CommentsI accidentally deactivated my account after cancelling a Business trial - can I recover it?
Hi, My account was deleted by mistake. it contained very valuable family photos that only existed on my account. It was my mistake. I was told my account cannot be restored due to security reasons. I had this account for years and had occasionally subscription plans that I can prove this is my account. Any idea this can help? This happened when I tried to cancel business trial and accidentally deleted my account. Thanks1.2KViews0likes11CommentsCan I restore an account that was deleted?
Hello Dropbox Community! This is my first time using the forum. Nice to meet y'all! I decided to make this post thinking that maybe someone has ever had or heard about an issue like that. 2 Days ago, I was using the trial plan for business plan, and I decided to cancel the free trial plan and switch to the "plus" plan, but somehow, the dropbox team decided that it will a good idea to terminate your account if you cancel that plan, and I have no idea why someone would ever add such a thing on the billing page. I terminated my account, and I lost access to my files because I was looking for a downgrade. For 2 days, I've been trying to connect with the Dropbox team to figure and sort this out, but nothing happened so far. My files contain years of work and legal paperwork, and they seem to not care about that. Does anyone have any idea if I will ever recover my files? I don't really care about the account, but the files are so important to me.Solved6.9KViews0likes27Comments
