My dropbox is empty!
I had a personal dropbox for a long time, and had it filled with my personal documents and work. I began working with a company who invited me to dropbox business, and i...

Was this case ever sorted? I seem to have exactly the same issue.
Today my Dropbox Desktop app was having trouble connecting and I decided to sign out and sign in again. Instead it quit the app entirely. Then, Instead taking me to my usual view and account (same email as posting this from) which was a personal account merged to business teams, I had a sign in / sign up page and after logging in with my old password, everything was empty. I thought its a temporary issue, but some hours later nothing has reappeared. I can see on the Desktop app recent files history but clicking on those, nothing happens. Ive been a Dropbox user since the very beginning, have taken many businesses to join drobox pro, have helped people merge and unmerge accounts, but never ever have something like this happened to me before. Looks like all my archive and personal files are gone withour any warning or even possibility to pay myself to regain them?

2 years agoHi Helen V, let's jump right into this!
Is it possible that you accidentally signed into the wrong account, or created a new one?
If you click on your little Dropbox icon, on your task bar, next to your WiFi, and then click on the globe icon that should re-direct you online.
When you check the account there, does it look empty? If I were you, I'd also check the account's events page. The Events page at www.dropbox.com/events gives you an overview of all activity in your account including files events (adds/edits/deletes).
Let me know more!

Hi Megan
Unfortunately when the issue occured earlier today, I signed out of the desktop app and once I logged in again, it already asked me to sign up again (same email, that I've used for many many years, since the starting days of Dropbox..). So currently when I click on globe, it takes me to the empty account.. no history, no old files, no purchase history. Same time I have not deleted my account or anything.
I've reached out to the Admin of our Business Team also to take a look if they have done something accidentally on their own side, but this still looks super bizarre.
Events shows zero history. I'm confident I'm logged on with the correct email/user.
