Someone gained access to my account and setup 2FA to block me

Hello,

My dropbox account was compromised and they fully locked me out with 2fa. I did not set up the 2fa so I can't kick them out.

I just want to close the account. I don't need access.

What should I do? I sent off an email to support.

Yes, there is. As Mark stated, you can visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for sign in issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

Dropbox doesnt have a support email address unfortunately.

All you can do is contact support via www.dropbox.com/support while not logged in - even to here, so, use an incognito window which will let you contact about account issues.

DexterJ, if you find the solution I'd like to hear about it. There is no support for security breaches. Someone hacked into my account, put their email in, and now has all access to our financial data in the organization. Dropbox ghosted me. I am still waiting for a response, despite "upgrading" for better support.
