Unexpected message from Dropbox. Is it safe?

I did not expect any contact from Dropbox, ever. However, I received a message saying I had a message waiting on Dropbox. My wife received the same message one day before me.

Why would I receive a secure message? Is it safe to open?

    Can you let me know if the email is coming from one of these, official Dropbox domains? If so, then it's Dropbox-related indeed, and safe. 

     

    If you have any relevant screenshots of the message, that'd be amazing, in order for us to have a visual too. Just make sure none of your personal info is visible there. 

     

    Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!
