I have organized some of my photos into folders. Within those folders, the only option to sort by date is by the modified date, which appears to be when I uploaded the photos into the folder. However, if I look at the file info on the photo, I can see the date taken or date created, which appears to be when I took the photo. It would be very helpful to be able to sort all the photos in a folder by the date taken.

PLEASE PLEASE make this a feature. Straight up considering switching. Currently, photos appear to be organized primarily by the date they were uploaded or added to Dropbox. For users who upload existing photo libraries or migrate images from other platforms, this often results in photos appearing out of chronological order. Most image files contain embedded EXIF metadata that includes the original “Date Taken.” Adding an option to sort or organize photos by this metadata field would significantly improve the ability to manage and browse photo libraries within Dropbox. Ideally, this could be implemented as a simple sorting option alongside existing choices (e.g., Name, Modified Date), allowing users to select “Date Taken” when viewing image files. This feature would be extremely valuable for users who rely on Dropbox to store large photo collections and would help ensure that images display in their true chronological order regardless of when they were uploaded.
