M2 MacBook Air Sonoma 14.1
Dropbox asks about the update, I start the process. When it gets to the "give dropbox permissions" part, dropbox already has permissions set, I click OK...dropbox immediately quits and restarts, I login, back to regular version of Dropbox with the option to try file provider. Same thing every time I try. I have rebooted several times, and reinstalled Dropbox twice. No change.
Hey @organik, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you go through the app's preferences and check the sync tab, what's the location of your Dropbox folder?
And if you hover over your Dropbox icon, which version do you have installed?
Let me know and we'll go from there.

Dropbox is located in my home folder.
Installed version is 187.2.4544
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the update, @organik.
Can you also confirm that Dropbox has full disk access? Is that already done?

Dropbox does have full disk access.
Thanks for the confirmation, @organik.
Would you mind switching off the "early releases" option here and then reinstalling the app through this link?
Let me know how it goes.

I was having this exact same issue and this solved it. Need to destroy the existing dropbox folder in cloudstorage. For those who don't know, it is found in user/username/library/cloudstorage - but note that the library folder for a user is hidden by default on Macs so you need to show all folders (command + shift + . (period)) to see it.
