Email attachments aren't working

Email attachments aren't working

Hi,
For the past months, I've been unable to add files from my dropbox as email attachments. I'm not talking of adding links to files. I'm talking of adding files that are synced in my dropbox, as files attached in an email. I've tried with different email clients. It's as if synced files are pseudo files, that cannot be used by the email clients.

Does anyone experiment the same issue?
Thanks

Hi @helpelliot, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are you using a mobile email app, a desktop app, or a browser?

Which email provider are you using? What exactly happens when you try to attach a file?

This will help me to assist further!

same problem here. The files seems to attach fine, and is sent fine, but when the recipient (or even me, the sender, for that matter) try to download and open the attachment from the email chain we get "Failed to load PDF document."

Hey @davidisaacweiss, sorry to see you're also having this issue.

Are you attaching files that are inside your Dropbox folder?

If so, are the files currently set to "online-only" or to "available offline"?

If they're online-only, can you right-click them, choose "make available offline" and then try to attach and email them again, to see if that helps?
