Hello. I created my first shared folder today. Then I started uploading a folder of picturess onto it. However I thought I would have time to review each photo before it was shared. Too late, over 70 were shared out of 700!
I only wanted to share a handful out of the origin folder. And since I didn't know how to stop it, I just turned off my internet data. How do I stop the upload onto this shared folder? I'm worried that if I log back in, the upload will continue. Thanks for any help.
Hey @Selkie1, you mentioned you used the browser to upload content.
If you managed to close your browser, or just the Dropbox related tab there; that means the uploading process should be cancelled. You're good to delete the content that was added by mistake in the shared folder, and no new content should be uploaded when you open your laptop.
I hope this clarifies.

Hey @Selkie1, thanks for posting your question to our Community.
Can you let us know how you're uploading these image files?
Are you using the Dropbox website, the desktop app or the mobile app?
If you used the website, you can just close your browser window and the upload will stop.
If you used the desktop app, you can just move the files out of the Dropbox folder.
Let me know how it goes!

How did you add the files to the shared folder? Are you using the local Dropbox folder on your computer and the files are syncing, did you start the upload through the Dropbox website, or are you uploading them on a mobile device?
Hey @Selkie1, sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to mention that you can check how many files were uploaded in the end by taking a look at the shared folder on our website or your events page.
If you find any that you didn't want to share, you can delete them.
I hope this helps!
