If you don't want to resume a sync how do you remove the file synch pause?

If you don't want to resume a sync how do you remove the file synch pause?

I started to sync files from a hard drive to the dropbox. I decided to store these files elsewhere, so I stopped the sync. The only option to stop the sync was to pause the sync. Now I can't remove that pause. All I can do is resume. How do you cancel a sync altogether?

Hi @Fearless, sorry to jump in here!

Since the original hard drive has been removed, can you try resuming the syncing process? It shouldn't be able to sync these files, since the original path has been removed.

Let me know if you notice a different behavior, and we'll remedy this.

Hi @Fearless, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Are these files still in the same location as before when you were syncing them, or are they no longer there?

This will help me to assist further!

No longer there. They were on an external hard drive, I removed that hard drive from my computer and transferred the files onto another hard drive. The original hard drive has now had the files that were to be synched removed.

That worked. Thank you so much.

This is really not very helpful.

I have begun a sync (to have files Available Offline, they were Online only). But I've done the wrong folder by mistake.

There doesn't seem anyway that I can cancel the Sync at all.

- if I pause it, then it wants to restart it

- if I try to copy the files to someplace else (to stop the sync), then it wants to download the files before copying them.

I really just want to cancel the entire status change (sync) that I'd initiated.

NOTE: Ok, so eventually, by just making the files "Online Only" again, it finally seemed to stop syncing (which is what I was after). I guess it was just a problem with my internet!
