Delete, edit, and organize
Solve issues with deleting, editing, and organizing files and folders in your Dropbox account with support from the Dropbox Community.
Someone shared ownership of one of their folders with me. Then I needed a bunch of file storage space for myself, so I deleted one or two of their large video files with the intention of restoring it afterward. But when I went back, I tried to move my files out of Dropbox, thinking that it would free up my own storage, but it never did give me back any storage. Then I accidentally left this task only to lose track of the 30 days and return about Day 31 or 32 and now I can't find that deleted video(s) again.

If it's a SHARED folder, wouldn't it have to alert the other owner(s) about the deleted files?
No.
Or would it just delete them on my end so I no longer have access PLUS just not delete it on her end, so she still has access?
If you delete a file in a shared folder, it's deleted for everyone that's a member of the share.
If it's truly deleted, can I still get Dropbox to find the deleted file(s) and restore them?
No. Once you're beyond the 30 day limit, it's not possible to recover the files.
I was only on the Basic plan, but now I just upgraded to Plus to get this feedback and possible access again. Is the 30 days a hard rule, or is it possible to get them back if I upgraded?
Upgrading doesn't extend the recovery period for files that are already deleted. The new recovery period only applies to files deleted after the upgrade.
If you're beyond 30 days, I'm afraid it won't be possible to recover the files. They're already gone.
