Hello all -

I have a Google Sheet that i created several months ago.  I have been using it (updates) several times a week.  Today, I am no longer able to open the google sheet.  I keep being directed to a page with this:

I am signed into my Google account and i am able to open all other files, but suddenly not this one.  I even cleared the cache/cookies and still it doesn't work.

Any suggestions or help are welcome!
thank you

Update:  I just checked another Google document and I cannot open that one either.  It is  Doc format.  I can open up documents I created as Word Doc, but not Google Doc or Google Sheets.  These are important docs for me.  I hope i can recover them.

Thanks for the update, @asdxasdx.

Just to check, if you change the default place where your Microsoft Office files open to Google Docs in this case, does that help at all?

Google docs was already my default option. I changed it to MS Office and then back to Google docs - but this did not help as well

Hi @asdxasdx, have you changed your email address on your Dropbox account?

Yes, I changed it from my iCloud adress to my googlemail adress to make sure that it matches the google docs username. I did that because I've read in another thread that this may solve my problem.

Hi @asdxasdx,

Just seeing if I can help here.

Yes, you definitely need the emails to match for Google integration with Dropbox, same for Microsoft Office.

If you are signed in with the same email there (in Word for the web, for example) as you use for your Dropbox account, you should be fine.

Is this still happening with newly created items after the email change?

Also, were the ones you're having trouble with converted from Google format to Microsoft format before you set the default for Google files to be stored on their side?

Let me know what you see!

I am having the same issue with not being able to open files in Google Drive. It says to "Start session" but won't let me proceed further. As the problem was an extension in this solution I tried disabling extensions, however this has not worked.

Anyone have any clue?

Hi @JohnpB, have you tried switching browsers entirely to see if this helps, or using incognito mode?
