View, download, and export
Need support with viewing, downloading, and exporting files and folders from your Dropbox account? Find help from the Dropbox Community.
Really strange, it's not possible to download files anymore. I only work online. On the other hand the upload function still works.
It says: "Beim Herunterladen der Datei ist ein Fehler aufgetreten".
Thank you for your support.
Since it does sound like there is something preventing the files from being downloaded due to the school network, as it works elsewhere, keep us updated with any news on if they were able to make the downloads work again.

Hi @Andrew33, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps?
Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely.
Keep me updated with any progress!

Hello Jay,
I've already taken these hints (switching browser, incognito mode, clearing cache and resetting), unfortunately without success. Also our system administrator at school had no solution... (He recommended to use only OneDrive!!) 😂
Thanks for your help.
Andreas
Are you accessing these links via a school environment? Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
Can you download the links from another network entirely?

Yes, I'm accessing Dropbox via our school environment. And my first assumption was also that there must be a restriction caused by the firewall. But our system adminstrator denied. I'll hand him out the list with the Dropbox domains.
By all means - I do have full functionality with downloads in other networks (at home) or with my mobile phone. I have to add - in those cases I use the app.
Thanks!
