Where do my files go after my Dropbox Plus expires and I dont renew it?

Hello everyone,

My Dropbox Plus will expire on 5th Oct and I'm planning not to renew it. My current storage is ~ 200GB out of 1TB and I'm wondering where these 200GB will go after the plan expires. Do I need to download everything to my laptop?

Thank you for your help.

Hạnh

Hello Hạnh - welcome to our Community!

You'll be able to access them via the website at any given point in time - you won't be able to sync new files though.

Note that when your account is downgraded, Dropbox will not delete any of your files.

If your Dropbox folder becomes over quota all that should happen is that syncing stops. Dropbox will only sync until you hit your quota, so if you are over quota all that should happen is that Dropbox will not sync any new files.

Let me know if you have any more questions @hanhtrieu

can I still download the files on my computer if my Dropbox Plus expires?

Of course you can @benybot!

When your Dropbox Plus subscription expires, only syncing will stop. Assuming that you're over your account's quota that is (our free, Basic plan comes with 2 GB of space).
